Police say it all started around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators allege after drinking at both a friends home and a bar, husband and wife Paul and Carisa Walz of East Price Hill were in their car near the intersection of State Route 20 and State Route 212 in Hebron Kentucky when things went wrong.

Carisa allegedly opened the car door and leaned out to vomit.

That's when investigators say she fell out and was ran over while Paul was driving.

Police say they believe that's when Paul placed his wife back in the car but didn't drive her to the hospital or call 911 right away.

"Got on 275 right there close to the airport.  And came around 275 the long way.  Through Lawrenceburg, then through Ohio, and then we believe that's when he called 911," said Public Information Officer Tom Scheben with the Boone County Sheriff's Office.

When emergency crews arrived, Carisa was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Two weeks ago Paul was charged with domestic violence and had a restraining order after allegedly running over Carisa's foot.

Paul was arrested Saturday evening in Boone County.  He's being charged with manslaughter, D.U.I. and violation of a protection order.
