An Indiana man is facing several charges after allegedly driving with a blood alcohol level nearly four times the legal limit Monday evening.
Police pulled over 43-year-old Ted Wright in the
7800 block of Harrison Avenue in Mt Healthy around 7:30 p.m. When they looked in his van, officers reportedly found between 30 - 40 open Budweiser cans inside.
In addition, police say the Gaston, Indiana resident had another open 18-pack of cold beers on hand.
When Wright submitted to a breathalizer test, police say he blew a .309, which is nearly four times the legal limit for driving.
Wright is now charged with OVI and OVI over limit, which is a charge brought out for extreme blood alcohol levels. In addition, he is facing charges of open container and not wearing a seat belt.
He will return to court next month.
