The longtime band director for Mount Healthy High School who now directs the alumni band got a fitting surprise at Sunday's annual alumni concert.
During the concert, the superintendent surprised Russell Hinkle by announcing that the school's new auditorium will be named after him.
Hinkle was the school's band director from 1960 to 1985, and has served as the alumni director ever since.
