Some Cincinnati girls have once again proven themselves champions in synchronized swimming.

The Cincinnati YMCA Synchrogators synchronized swim team, ages 16-19, won the ESYNCHRO Championship Saturday at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

The girls were fighting to keep the title they earned last year.

"It really brings to the forefront the hard work of this team and our coaches, Ginny and Julie Jasontek," said C.J. Connor, Publicity Chair and mom to three Cincinnati Synchrogator swimmers.

Seven swimmers will graduate and move on to college this year and next year, according to Connor, who says next year will be a great challenge as younger swimmers move up to defend the team's title again.

"We are very confident in our younger swimmers as our 13-15 year old team earned 9th and our 11-12 year old team earned 13th in the competition," said Connor.
