The Department of Defense has announced that a local Marine was killed in Iraq yesterday.
The DoD says Captain Warren A. Frank, 26, of Cincinnati, died November 25 "while supporting combat operations" in the Ninewa province in Iraq.
According to the DoD, Frank was assigned to the 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force based in Okinawa, Japan.
