Local leaders and health professionals are going the extra step to learn about the H1N1 virus.
About 300 of them will gather Wednesday evening for a swine flu summit. It takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. at Receptions Conference Center in Erlanger. That's located in the 13-hundred block of Donaldson Road (See map below).
Speakers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Kentucky Department of Health will educate local professionals, which include doctors, school nurses, emergency management and local government officials.
Attendees will learn about the current state of the H1N1 virus, how to prevent the spread, and detailed information on the vaccine.
