The Conservative Ohio Think-Tank, The Buckeye Institute has filed a lawsuit against Acorn on behalf of two Warren County voters.

The lawsuit alleges Acorn has engaged in a pattern of corrupt activity and cities complaints against the group concerning fraudulent voter registrations in several states including Ohio.

Plaintiffs Jennifer Miller of Mason and Kimberly Grant of Loveland say Acorn's action deprive them of the right to participate in an honest and effective election process.

"ACORN appears to be recklessly disregarding Ohio laws and adding thousands of fraudulent voters to the state's roles in the process," says Maurice Thompson, Director of the Buckeye Institute's 1851 Center for Constitutional Law.  "Such voter fraud erodes the value of legally cast votes."

Acorn has not responded to this lawsuit, but did explain Tuesday that many of these complaints stem from only a few of its 13,000 workers in 21 states.

They say the employees who falsified registrations have been fired.
