Crews were called to the scene of an accident Monday afternoon that blocked both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-74 near the Dearborn County/ Ripley County border.
Indiana State Police say three semi trucks, two of which overturned, were involved in the accident along eastbound I-74 near the 159 mile marker around 3:30 p.m, between the Milan/Sunman and St. Leon exits.
One of those semis was reported to have been carrying hazardous materials.
The overturned trucks have since been turned upright, but traffic remained backed up as drivers were sent along State Route 46 as a detour.
Police have not released any other further information.
