Our hometown heroes are getting a chance to get back into the workforce.
Local veterans are encouraged to attend a job fair Thursday that specifically has their needs and interests in mind.
It's called the RecruitMilitary Opportunity Expo, and it takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Turfway Park in Florence (see map below).
More than 300 people are expected to attend; and not only are veterans invited, but their spouses are as well.
The goal is to provide service members and veterans with opportunities in employment, entrepreneurship, and education.
Those who attend will be able to interview with a wide array of companies on the local, regional and even national level.
Some of those companies and schools include Northern Kentucky University, CSX Transportation and the Veterans Administration.
