Home foreclosures continue to rise in the Tri-State, but this Monday the Reverend Jesse Jackson arrived in town to present a plan to bring those numbers down.
Jackson spoke at a rally in Bond Hill.
His plan includes freezing foreclosures and helping restructure and modify loans to protect the home equity of people victimized by sub-prime lending schemes.
“Stop foreclosures, restructure loans, reduce student loans and revive a commitment to end poverty and put America back to work,” said Jackson.
Jackson's trip is a part of his Rainbow “PUSH” Coalition, which was developed to improve economic and education opportunity in communities.
