A Covington IRS employee was sentenced to three years probation for looking into the tax files of celebrities.

John Snyder pleaded guilty to looking up the accounts of nearly 200 people including his neighbor, Kevin Bacon, Vanna White and Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis.

Investigators say Snyder snooped into IRS files over a five year period.

A routine investigation led to charges being filed against Snyder.

"They did a criminal investigation and they analyzed his audit and that revealed the several hundred unauthorized access he made," said Elaine Leonhard, Assistant U.S. Attorney

Snyder's job status is being handled internally by the IRS, its unclear if he will keep his job.
