stokes, wake up, please. You are in the middle of a very bad democrat/liberal nightmare. It is nothing that can't be cured by facts. First, though, you must wake up (and stop being SILLY!!!!).

Let us hope that the senate has some sense at least, Al gore is just another ivy league palooka, never had a real job, has spongy sweaty hands. Does not have any real knowledge of the climate, other than what he reads on wikepedia. There are some things that need fixing, burning coal is most likely one of them, an immediate solution would be to convert all existing coal plant to burn natural gas. Which would be really simple to do. We have in the US 100 years of natural gas, also around the globe gas is being located in vast amounts. But will anyone listen or even read this few lines and take any action?

Stokes: It's ok. The Earth's climate has fluctuated for millions and millions of years without our fix and it's been getting slightly cooler the last 11 years, despite the promoters "cherry picking" a few shrinking glaciers to show us. Why is it so important that we stay stuck in this ice-age which, by definition, we are currently in? Personally I think a little warming might be what we need, so I'm a little disappointed we're not actually getting it.

Democrat or Republican this is a problem we can't ignore. If you're not part of the climate fix you are the problem. If we don't do what we can now then jobs might be the least of our fears.

When will people learn that Democrats have their own crazy agendas and will pursue them to the end (ex:Mallory streetcars). This is a bad idea and another example of BOHICA bend over here it comes again.

levelhead: Thanks for posting the link. Thank God for FoxNews! I hope Senator Inhofe is correct about the bill being DOA in the Senate. Let the investigation begin!

Here is another example of the Democratics raising the cost of living and not looking out for the middle to low income families. The cost of gas and electric will skyrocket as power producing companies get hit with these new regulations. Lets ask ourselves a simple question, who will pay for the new equipment? Now when you buy one of Oboma's electric cars you will pay more to charge that car than if you have a gasoline car. And since the electric companies can't go nuclear, the power will cost even more. Wake up America!

There are some very good posts in this thread that are stated with facts (the liberal’s worst nightmare). Currently there is a push to investigate the deliberate suppression of new scientific research results that would contradict the “global warming” theory that is so vital for the liberal agenda of “cap and trade”. Seems our friends at the EPA smothered this new scientific research in fears it could alter the vote outcome of the cap and trade bill (this would be a criminal act)……..The bill barely passed the senate due to concerned citizens nearly melting down the phone lines in Washington in protest(10 to 1 against), PLEASE continue calling Washington and voicing your anger over this monstrosity and “maybe” just maybe the bill can die a peaceful death in the senate……MAKE your voices heard!!!!......Cranky….I believe the correct term is “Cranky-made” global warming crap……lol…….BTW…don’t you love how over 300 pages were added to this monstrosity at 3AM just before the vote??? Even Obama’s energy czar Carol Browner has publically admitted she hasn’t read all of it either (well…..in typical liberal style she failed to answer the direct question with a direct answer stating she has only read “part of it”)
