CINCINNATI-- A new historic marker will be placed in downtown Cincinnati today to mark the official historic recordings made at E.T. Herzog Recording Company.

Recording artists, including Hank Williams, recorded songs from 1945-1955 on the second floor of the building at 811 Race Street.

In fact, historians say Hank Williams recorded his hit, "Lovesick Blues," at the studio.

Cincinnati USA Music Heritage Foundation and Local volunteers raised the funds through a benefit concert to pay for the marker.

Cincinnati librarian, Brian Powers, helped to gain support from city leaders and the Historic Conservation Board of Cincinnati to get approval for the marker.

The unveiling of the historic marker will take place at 1 p.m. at 811 Race Street on November 22.

It is free and open to the public.

There will also be a reception at 2 p.m. at the studio.
