i think wcpo needs to spend some bucks to get the signal out to their customers, signal is very weak all other channels are clear, and strong.

I am currently in the us army. I am stationed at fort riley, kansas. I used to get streaming live news on my computer. Now, since you changed to hd I am not getting any live stream. Is there any way that I can get it again? I am deploying in a couple of months and I need to know what is going on back home. I am from norwood.

By the way leboman, plenty of people have done as instructed by our "great" government and their tvs still do not work properly without more money being spent! Where are the vouchers for the rest of the equipment we need? Another government screwing of the people!!

I am useing a "Diamond 510, 2meter 70 centimeter" or equivalent, omni directional, ham radio stick antenna. It gets everything with a perfect picture. It brings in public service channel's as well as channel 14 also. The antennas can be bought from R&L Electronics in Hamilton or online.

You should do a little more research. First "VHF" is not the national standard. Secondly, most digital stations are NOT VHF. The majority are UHF. Poor information.

I live on near the top of the hill in Pleasant Ridge. Should be a good location. WCPO is the toughest to receive. If the stars are aligned, I can get 9-2, but 9-1 is still VERY difficult to receive, even after moving to an amplified antenna and moving it and the TV to a large window (not acceptable in the long run). Are 9-1 and 9-2 distinct frequencies? Why the ability to get one and not the other? Anyone know?

You're right, It's not news any more, since I gave up trying to watch TV. New antenna, new converter boxes (twice), plus a brand new HDTV but still no channel 9 or 12 and most of the time no 5, even after rescanning, rescanning, rescanning. I might as well put the brand new TV on eBay. What a joke. Thanks, Congress. I'm a new fan of radio - at least we can still listen to the Reds.

this isn't news any longer...

Is this really a story that needs to be constantly at the top of Channel 9's list? It just seems sad that people can't seem to get the handle on figuring out how to watch their TV. It's been more than 2 weeks since the switch to all digital, and people still aren't getting it.

joeaverage is correct. I worked at the post office and we always had tons of direct mailings (ads) and there wasn't any or they were significantly cut down for the rural areas for that very reason.
