The renovation of College Hill Fundamental Academy officially began Tuesday.
Students, parents and staff gathered at the school’s campus on Cedar Avenue for the morning's groundbreaking ceremony.
When work is complete the Cincinnati public school will serve as a community learning center.
As many as 550 students from preschool to sixth grade attend the school.
