One of the biggest local issues on the ballot this November will be the proposed casino in Ohio.

It's an issue that the governor of Ohio is opposing.

On Friday, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland released an official statement saying he believes Issue Six is "not the right economic strategy" for the state.

Strickland was in Cincinnati Saturday supporting Democratic Candidate Connie Pillich, who is running for Ohio's 28th House District. During his visit, the governor took time to discuss his views on the casino gambling issue.

"I don't think this is the right thing for Ohio," he said. "Just here this morning I've met two people who told me tragic stories related to their families and gambling. One lady talked about her mother who... got caught up in going to the casinos, ended up losing her home and dying in object poverty."

The supporters of Issue Six say the casino will bring in a lot of money for the state.
