SYMMES TWP. -- The early morning rain caused some problems out on the roads for many drivers.

Road crews spent most of the morning cleaning up the mess after a CSI garbage truck spilled fuel on northbound I-71 at Mason Montgomery Road.

Police say the truck lost 70 gallons and dragged its fuel tank for about a half a block around 3:30 a.m.

Symmes Township firefighters put sand on the spill until Hazmat crews arrived on the scene.

Crews had to close Mason Montgomery Road for several hours.
