I take it that Judge Stoner is speaking from experience.

What is the point to sending a rich guy like this to jail? it just costs money for us. How about we comute the jail sentence but hit him with a much bigger fine. Look, he is not a danger to anyone on the street if he is kept on probation. He was smart enought to play for a decade in the NBA, he will probably not risk it again. I am tired of paying for jail time for rich people like Vick and Blount, just fine the pants off them and put them on probation. In one year, he will be out of jail, but HE will still be rich. I on the other hand will pass a tax bill on to my kids to he could sit in jail.

Alcohol kills MANY more people annually than Marijuana ever dreamed of killing!!! it should be legalized and regulated like alcohol......no one under 21 can use it, no public consumption of it, no driving while under its influence etc. The govt could tax it and maybe we all would feel some relief from the tax burden that Obama is placing on all of us and our children.........

Corie, there are tons of us out here that feel for you. One thing I'd like to see before I die, is legalization of marijuana.

1 year for 29 pounds of pot? This is as crooked as the Widmer outcome! What are you putting in the water on the north side of the "Big Muddy"?

Looks like he will be doing time that most of these perverted child molesters that seem to make the news every night. I don't agree with selling drugs, or 'allegedly' selling drugs, but I think the punishment should fit the crime. The justice system is a joke!
