A former customer service representative for Time Warner Cable is accused of stealing one woman's identity and credit information as she was paying her cable bill.

Vanessa Jackson, 55, of Cincinnati is facing two counts of identity theft and two counts of theft, both of which are felonies.

The investigation by the Springfield Township Police Department dates back to November of 2007. Jackson was terminated by Time Warner when the investigation began several months ago.

It's alleged that while Jackson worked at Time Warner, she received a payment on a customer's account through a credit card and kept the victim's credit card numbers. This allegedly happened at a call center located in Blue Ash, according to a Time Warner representative.

In the following weeks, Jackson allegedly ordered items over the internet and over the phone using the numbers.

Investigators said Jackson had the items sent to her home, but it is not yet clear whether that led to her arrest.

Jackson had worked for Time Warner less than a year, according to a company spokesperson.

Jackson was arrested at the North College Hill Police Department Monday night.

Warrants had been issued for her arrest in the thefts back on December 18, 2007.

It is not clear how much Jackson may have charged on the card, or what she bought.

A Time Warner spokesperson said a security representative for the company and law enforcement officials found no other breaches in security. She also said no other customers have registered complaints with the company.

Time Warner said all efforts were made to restore the victim's credit and missing funds.

Jackson appeared in court Tuesday morning and a judge released her on her own recognizance.
