Former Mayor, Wife Killed In Shooting

A former mayor and his wife are dead after a shooting in Boone County Friday night.

Boone County sheriff's deputies were called to the scene just after 11:30 p.m. in the 10000 block of Indian Hill Drive in Union, Ky., and found three people suffering gunshot wounds.

Warren Moore, 66 and his wife, Madge Moore were pronounced dead.

Sheriff's deputies canvassed the area with a K-9 unit.

Their son, Michael Moore, 39, was the third victim.  Michael was transported to University Hospital were he is recovering after having undergone surgery.  His current condition is unknown.

A neighbor, Sarah Newman, says, ""Warren Moore, he was the mayor of Union years ago.  He was just a really nice guy, watching the neighborhood."

The Boone County Public Information Officer Tom Scheben says, "Investigators have not narrowed their investigation to any one person or any one direction."
