The former mayor of Manchester sits in an Adams County jail cell waiting to face a judge.
Randy Yates is charged with felonious assault, stemming from a Friday night shooting.
Police say they received a call around 5:30 that night that a man sitting in his car outside of a Manchester restaurant had been shot.
Police believe Kelly Mason was assaulted less than a mile away at Yate's home in the 400 block of West 6th Street.
There were several broken windows in the front of the home as investigators continued to try a piece together what happened.
Yates is expected to face a judge Monday morning when bond could be set.
