Indiana State Police say an inspector at a weigh station in Dearborn County helped catch a man wanted for murder in Florida.
Twenty-four-year-old Fred Coney III was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon at the West Harrison, Ind. weigh station on I-74.
Police say an inspector did a routine check on Coney, who was a passenger in a semi.
The check revealed that Coney was wanted on a warrant for pre-meditated murder and attempted murder in Miami, Florida.
The inspector contacted Indiana State Police, who responded to arrest Coney.
He's now in jail pending extradition to Florida.
The semi was searched, but investigators say no weapons or other evidence was found.
