It wasn't the size of the fire, but the size of the store that prompted the call for extra firefighters in Symmes Township overnight.

According to officials, a storage rack in a back storage area of the Sam's Club on Fields Ertel Road caught fire around 1:15 Thursday morning.

The fire wasn't very big, but firefighters raised it to a "five alarm" fire because of the large size of the building. Officials say one fire department could not handle a building that size on their own, so they issued a larger alarm to bring in assistance from other departments.

Officials say seven or eight employees were in the building at the time, but no one was injured.

The building's sprinklers reportedly helped to contain most of the fire and prevent it from causing too much damage; however, there was a lot of smoke throughout the structure.

Crews remained on the scene for several hours working to ventilate the store.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
