Our Lady of Grace in Groesbeck, a new regional school, is hosting its first fish fry.
Benefits help the athletic programs.
Doors are open from 5:30 to 7:30 on Fridays through April 3.

Menu includes fish, spaghetti, pizza, shrimp, and more.
The facility is handicap   accessible.

The fish fry will be held in Little Flower School's cafeteria at
5560 Kirby Ave, Mt. Airy.

One look at the menu for the St. Paul fish fry and you know that you're in for a culinary experience.

The impressive list of weekly specials includes fresh shucked oysters on the half shell, live Maine lobsters with drawn butter and lemon, and Cajun-blackened salmon with ancho chili remoulade sauce.

The St. Paul School Boosters offer standard favorites like golden fried cod and hush puppies, grilled cheese and pizza. But what makes this event stand out among all the other fish fries offered during Lent are the gourmet specials created by talented chefs.

“We wanted to offer something different,” said Mark Kathman, one of the accomplished chefs heading the fish fry. “The lobster began as a novelty item, and it went over so well we kept expanding the specials.”

Chef Alan Neace, an instructor at the Midwest Culinary Institute in Cincinnati, brings his culinary expertise to the fish fry as well.

With eight different side options and six dinner platters in addition to the weekly specials and kids combos, there is sure to be something for everyone. The menu can be accessed here.

The fish fries began on Ash Wednesday and will continue every Friday during Lent until Good Friday (Feb. 27- April 3). Dine in and carry out are available 5-8 p.m.

All proceeds benefit St. Paul School Boosters, which support the athletics and academic teams.

Additionally, each Friday at 7 p.m., St. Paul Church will have a one-hour program featuring a guest speaker and Stations of the Cross. This Friday features a special music program. The public is welcome to attend this beautiful way to celebrate the Lenten season
