CINCINNATI -- A household name is now forever connected to the Tri-State for showing off her creativity for a great cause.

Wheel of Fortune host Vanna White designed the first-ever American Heart Association Red Dress statue.

The Christ Hospital along with Cincinnati Goes Red unveiled the statue Tuesday afternoon to help raise awareness about heart disease.

“I am pleased to be represented by a work that celebrates both my joy in being a mom and the sheer pleasure I derive from crocheting for those I cherish," White said.

Two local women, Pamela Thomas and Trudy Williams, also shared their testimonies about battling a heart-related illness.

Williams, an employee at Christ Hospital, discussed how she made it through a quadruple-bypass surgery and carotid artery surgery.

"They told me that my heart did a 275, 471 loop to keep me alive – and that's basically what the hospitals like –  it's a 275, 471 loop," said Williams. "There's a lot of people involved and a lot of people were there with me through my surgery.

The statue will be on display in the Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Center lobby for the next two years.
