Fireworks above the level of novelty are illegal for good reason. Used in the hands of the drunken (usually) amateur they kill, burn, and maim. They are obnoxious, terrorize wildlife and pets and people are out of control with them. When it's your kid getting killed by them, come tell us about your rights. It is time for the police to enforce the law. Fireworks aren't your right any more than disturbing the peace and shooting bullets at random. We still have idiots lighting them off , they started days before the 4th and will continue until they feel like it and the police do nothing. Think about your neighbors feelings during your little backyard party, the man across the street with terminal cancer, the pets shivering and shaking, the wildlife running into the streets being hit and causing accidents. Birds panicked flights in the night hitting wires and buildings and being killed. Kids getting their fingers blown off and worse. Yeah, that's your right...to create havoc and misery for the many so you can explode things. Sargon I hope you get burnt... um I meant bent. They should continue to be illegal in the hands of AMATEURS and the law should be enforced. It's a disgrace the way the police continue to turn a blind eye to a clear, concise, easily understood law making fireworks illegal and the consequences thereof. Which include a fine and up to six months imprisonment for a first offense. I, and many of my neighbors, with terrorized cats, dogs, and horses are sickened by the morons in our neighborhood that were lighting off explosives that shook the foundations of our houses hour after hour and day after day. Enough is enough. If the police refuse to do their job and continue to turn a blind eye to this misdemeanor then July 4th should be everyone committing a misdemeanor of any kind gets off scott free. That would be fair. Go to it shoplifters! It's a free for all!

"Possession of illegal fireworks in Ohio could bring you criminal charges." Then why aren't the police out in my neighborhood arresting all the explosive experts around here that go till 4am? I don't mind the celebration... just the 4am part... 1am should be the max limit.

Funny that a controlling commie like sioux displays the nations symbol of libery next to his moniker.

The instructions on my firecrackers say, "Lay on ground, light fuse, get away". The thing is, after I lay on the ground and light the fuse, I have a hard time getting up off the ground and getting away before the damn thing goes off ! Yes, I like shooting my airborne missiles off in town and seeing if I can catch my neighbors roof on fire. My neighbor is Sioux. Lol. Nice punctuation there Sioux. Hey at least you used spaces between the words. Lol. LIVE FREE OR DIE !!! GOVERNMENT STIMULUS PROVIDED FIREWORKS FOR EVERY AMERICAN !!!

ALL FIREWORKS SHOULD BE LEGAL! HOW CAN YOU CELEBRATE YOUR COUNTRIES INDEPENDENCE IF YOU CAN'T SHOOT OFF FIREWORKS?! WE ALWAYS HAVE DAMN PEOPLE CONTROLING OUR CELEBRATIONS!

well they better keep an eye on my neighboro hood then as i see them shooting them off here at this time a year and what happens if they sit hit your house and start a fire i do not think they should be able to shoot the ones up in the air in town but these idiots here do maybe i may have to call the law to have them watch out for it or have them down here at my house to sit and watch them

So much for liberty. The creeps in charge and their revenue generating cops have criminalized a celebration as old as the nation. Get bent all of you nanny state idiots! Happy 4Th to everybody else.
