I was glad this made the news! I didn't see it on the day it happened, but heard about it from my sister. This is the house my grandmother, my mother, and her 4 siblings grew up in way back when this part of Ft. Wright was known as Ft. Perry. I and my 22 cousins went there every Sunday and holiday from the 1940s to the late 1960s when my grandmother went to a nursing home and the house was sold. I have many wonderful memories of that house and the big back yard and the fun all of us had there. I rode past there today and am terribly saddened. The house is a total loss.

Whenever Ft. Wright is in the news, it begs the question: Do two Ft. Wrights make a Ft. Wrong??

Its not everyday that a house is a total loss from a fire. I am interested in LOCAL NEWS. I hear about all sorts of things from all over the country so I appricaite some news being local. Maybe there were not enough murders in Cincinnati that particular day, so they had to go to some "smaller" news"

I am assuming it's just like some car wrecks, some child abuse cases, certain rapes, drug bust and house break ins make the news and some don't. We don't have enough time to read about them all nor do they have enough time to report them all.....

So why is this house in the news? There are houses that catch fire all the time. I never understood why some houses are in the news and others are not.
