Fire investigators in Fort Wright, Kentucky are trying to determine what caused an early morning house fire in the 1600 block of
Amsterdam Road.
The fire started around 1:00 a.m. and consumed nearly every part of the house. Officials say it is a total loss.
No one was injured in the blaze.
Heat from the fire was so intense that it melted siding on the house next door.
There were reports around 7 a.m. that the fire rekindled, but the Fort Wright Fire Department says that is not the case and what appeared to be smoke rising was actually steam.
