An adult and two small children are being helped by the Red Cross after a fire destroyed their apartment home.
A neighbor called 911 to alert fire crews that there was fire next door and an adult and two small children could be inside.
Fire crews arrived on scene at the apartment building in the 1900 block of Knob Court in North Fairmount around 2:30 a.m.
There were flames coming from the second story of the building, and the fire was brought under control within 10 minutes.
Though neighbors thought there might be, no one was home at the time of the fire.
The apartment did have working smoke detectors which the neighbor heard.
Officials say the cause is currently listed as undetermined, and damage is estimated at $25,000.
