Final Push To Save Ohio Libraries

On Monday, Ohio lawmakers agreed to pass a seven day interim budget giving supporters of libraries more time to contact state leaders.

You can also partially blame the E-Books for this. No one has to go to the library anymore, you can just "rent" a book online and read it now.

Sounds like its time for government employee wage concessions. The spoiled bunch can deal with it like the rest of us!

I get the humor Jason B...but the sad reality is that the world of texting and short and fast answers has begun to absolutely butcher the language. U no wht I mean? I see this stuff now in business emails, so it's slowly creeping into the language the way the word "ain't" finally did in some dictionaries. The professional news writers can't write English either, just read some of the stories you see on here. You will find at least 2 or 3 errors that one simple proof-reading could have fixed. I fear libraries will begin to slowly die off like the newspapers are.

Whatever happened to volunteering? This is how we saved our libraries back in Illinois when I lived there. Granted, not every branch was saved. Or what about a rotational basis? Think outside the box - I know that is difficult for politicians to do.
