Drivers can expect traffic delays when the new Cincinnati Premier Outlets mall opens in Monroe later this summer.
The Ohio Department of Transportation is improving the interchange at I-75 and State Route 63. That's the exit for the new mall and two flee markets.
The construction is already creating backups and the project is not supposed to be completed until the end of the year.
The Monroe City Manager says people will need to be patient with the traffic the first few months the mall will be open.
"We're planning to do everything we can to get people in and out of that area but there will be construction going on. There will be orange barrels all over the place. Hopefully we'll have things under control," said City Manager Bill Brock.
The new mall is slated to open in August.
