Driver Charged With Manslaughter After Fatal Crash

CRESCENT SPRINGS, Ky. -- A suspected drunk driver is under arrest after an early morning crash killed one of his passengers and injured another.

Police say Riley Ealy, 26, of Crescent Springs, was driving under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his car on Amsterdam Road killing passenger James Fry of Walton and injuring his brother, Marshall Ealy.

Fry, 25, died at the scene.

Marshall Ealy of Crescent Springs was released from the hospital on Thursday.

The accident happened around 2:30 Thursday morning in the 1950 block of Amsterdam Road in Crescent Springs.

According to police, Ealy lost control of the vehicle and went off the road, striking a tree.

Police arrested Riley Ealy at the scene for suspicion of OVI.

The crash remains under investigation.
