My father(GOD REST HIS SOUL)was on the beaches of Norberdy. To later be caught by the Germans and put in a camp. When him and 5 other tried to escape.3 were shot dead.Later a German guard that lives in America help the 2 to escape. They had to remove half his stomach were they buried him up to his neck for 4 weeks then made them work.I wont tell the gruesome story of that.Shirley Houston Miller was a dam good man served his country and raised 4 of the Best kids.Last year as I held his hand till his last breath he told me to keep trying to get the MEDALS he had eared.SEE when the Military Building in ST.Louis caught on fire a lot of these men including my father,My Hero records were burned. How very sad the day we buried this man.Men from Corbin legion new of what HOUSTON did and went thru. They gave him the Medial but it wasn't from our country or recognized and this is not right after all this man went through. His wife died at 36 and he raised 4 kids by himself never married again.HE worked his butt off for them and was the kindest, gentle and sweat.Even after all he had to go thro for war. I really think this country should still give this great man an American HERO his Medial..
