Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire in Northern Kentucky Friday.
Campbell County dispatch says the fire began just after 3:30 p.m. at a home in the
9800 block of Washington Trace Road in California, Kentucky.
Preliminary reports had indicated no one was home at the time of the fire, but 9News learned that the family was home when the fire broke out in the basement.
It took firefighters two hours to control the fire. There are no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
