Couple Faces Indictment In Sex With 6-Year-Old

BURLINGTON, Ky. -- A couple faces indictment on multiple charges in connection with a series of sexual molestations of a 6-year-old girl.

The child's mother, Trisha Amara, and her live-in boyfriend, Fransico Vazquez, were indicted earlier this week by a Boone County grand jury.

Amara faces indictment for complicity to sodomy 1st degree, sexual abuse 1st degree, intimidating a participant in the legal process and human trafficking.

Vazquez, who also is known as Vasquez, was indicted on Tuesday, Nov. 17 for sodomy 1st degree, sexual abuse 1st degree and intimidating a participant in the legal process.

The Boone County Sheriff's Office said the molestations occurred over the last four to six weeks in the couple’s home.

The situation came to light when the child arrived home after school and found her mother wasn't home yet. Authorities said she went to a neighbor's apartment and told them of the abuse and the neighbor immediately notified authorities.
