On the upside, at least they will have more room to house criminals instead of letting them back out on the streets like Hamilton County.

Too busy making more stupid laws for things that are already illegal (e.g smoking weed). Legalize weed (not that much different than alochol), let those folks out and make room for the murders and child molesters. Oh and don't keep people on death row for 20+ years execute them within a year. Make space for more. Jails are a major money maker aren't they?

Here's another plan, get all the criminals locked up in Covington/Kenton County, let them build the new jail while only standing on the INSIDE of the walls, and when they're done, voila, they're back in jail.

Here is the master plan. First get the jail out of downtown Covington. Then announce that the County offices will also be moving to a new yet to be named location. Then the county will sell the courthouse to some developer and make a new luxury high rise condo/apartment. The only thing that I ask is the new building looks completed. That piece of crap Ascent next door is an eye sore. But i quess all of the high rollers like Jerry Strick and that bunch don't really care

Just execute them, all you need is a pair of balls and 5 cents for a bullet

Folks, that new jail will cost $68,333 per inmate!!!! That cost does NOT include the money that will be required to provide for the daily care and feeding of criminals, the ongoing maintenance of the building or the cost of personnel to staff the facility. Think about it... think about it long and hard! Sixty Eight thousand, three hundred and thirty three dollars of your money, plus annual overhead costs.... to provide for the needs of a criminal. We're doing something terribly, irresponsibly wrong!
