I have the perfect solution th END the problem for battered women once and for all. LOCK THE SOBS up and throw away the key the FIRST time they abuse the woman. Never let them out again.

sioux...I can read just fine. I know exactly what the story says. My comment was about coles being a racist, which she is. She is a racist fisrt and a feminist second. I totally support anyone who wants to volunteer their time for a cause, but not a racist like coles.

You are 100% correct longandtall. Here is my question..."quote"..."The fundraiser starts at 1:00 p.m. at Livinn Suites on Chester Road in Sharonville"..."unquote" This isn't even being held in the city of Cincinnati! Why didn't they have it in OTR? Things that make you go hmmm.....

This is a cause I would support. I don't care who is trying to raise money. It is good. So the headline had a word wrong. If the bikers want to help the shelter, good for them. Battered women and children need the shelter and the shelter needs money. Instead of being so critical ask yourself "What have I done to help? Or what can I do to help and then call the YWCA and see how to donate to the cause. Never know when one of our family members or friends might need the shelter. At some point they may get tired of being verbally or physically abused and take their children and run. With money the way it is, be a caring person and help. I plan too. And one last thing. I don't care what color they are - black, white, yellow, brown, blue whatever, they are still battered women who are too scared of some man to tell him to get out. So they run. To a safe place. Period.

Does she realize that there are alot of white women in this shelter too?? And that the money raised will go to help them as well as the black women in the shelter??....Honestly, I'm surprised there is not a shelter for battered black women only...

I can think of other ways to raise money to help for battered women, besides bikers and cars.
