A city council member is raising money for the YWCA Shelter for Battered Women.

Laketa Cole will join Cincinnati Women's Motorcycle Clubs for Saturday's, "Bike and Car Wash."

The fundraiser starts at 1:00 p.m. at Livinn Suites on Chester Road in Sharonville.

Money raised will supoort the battered women's shelter, which has helped more than 800 women and children.

"I'm glad that we were able to come together to have this event. It is important to show the community that we don't just ride motorcycles, but we give back to the community," says Cole.
