On Wednesday, in front of Channel 9's studios, hundreds gathered to protest an hour-long news special that aired later that night on ABC, called "Questions for the President: Prescription for America.”

An estimated 250 people organized through the Cincinnati Tea Party say they're not upset at Channel 9, but ABC .

President Obama is calling for a health care reform plan that would cost more than one-trillion dollars and extend health care to 50 million uninsured Americans over 10 years.

"Government-run health care is bad and ABC is giving time for the President to run an ‘infomercial’ is a bad thing for our country," said Mike Wilson, the president of the Cincinnati Tea Party.

Local residents spent hours waving signs and voicing their opinions against ABC and the cost of those reforms.

"I don't want government-run health care. I don't want ‘cap and trade.’ This is our country. We are the ones that help support ourselves. We take care of our own communities. I don't think the government should be involved in it," said Cincinnati Tea Party member Gina Vannoy.

Protests were not just in Cincinnati.

Across the country people let their voices be heard in front of their local ABC affiliate TV stations, siding with those in the health care industry who feel a public plan for health care could lead to a government takeover of the industry.

"Health care is not a right. He has no right to do what he's doing," said Cincinnati Tea Party member Tim Bradford. “And I'm very disappointed that ABC is doing what it's doing and not allowing any opposition.”

President Obama promises to work with Congress to pass legislation before the end of the year.
