A Tri-state church is honoring workers in the community with a special service Sunday.

Whitewater Crossing Christian Church has designated July 5 as "Public Safety Day" at the church.

Public service workers are asked to wear their uniforms to Sunday's service.

Firefighters and police vehicles from various agencies will be parked outside the church. A men's choral group is going to sing patriotic songs.

Pastor David Vaughan will lead the service at the non-denominational church.

The church is located in Cheviot at 3420 Glenmore Avenue.

There is a 9 a.m. and 10:45 service each Sunday.
