Children's Hospital is expanding.  The hospital is opening a new state-of-the-art medical facility.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place at 10 a.m. Friday at 3430 Burnet Avenue in Avondale.

The new facility will house several outpatient clinics that have been at the main hospital.

It will also offer more space for families and patients with special needs.

Some features include two rock walls, more than 20 swings, two playgrounds and a bike path.

Officials say this is the first of many new developments set to come for the Burnet Avenue Corridor.

Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory and Hamilton County Commissioner Todd Portune are both scheduled to make proclamations at the dedication ceremony.
