CPS Students Perform At White House Music Series

Tonight President Barack Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama are hosting the White House Music Series featuring 12 students from Cincinnati Public Schools.

The students who were invited to play include: Cellists Titilayo Ayungade and Philip Goist; pianists Jonathon Carlisle, Lucy Hattemer, Christin McKenzie, Charles Ramsey III, Megan Steele and Steven Yee; violinists David Goist, Alan Lawson, Rachel Peters and Diedra Ryan.

Eleven of the students performing Wednesday night attend the School for Creative and Performing Arts. Lucy Hattemer attends Walnut Hills High School.

This event also features performances by classical musicians Joshua Bell, Sharon Isbin, Alisa Weilerstein and Awadagin Pratt.
