Divers recovered a man's body Wednesday afternoon inside a SUV submerged in a lake at a Fort Thomas condominium complex.

Divers with the Northern Kentucky Rescue Team found the body of Stephen Rosen, 61, of Wilder, inside the SUV which was just beneath the surface of a man-made lake at the Grand Lake Condos in Fort Thomas.

Fort Thomas police and fire responded to a report of the submerged vehicle just after two Wednesday afternoon and found a champagne color SUV in the lake at the condos on Grand Lake Drive.

Personnel then called for divers and a tow truck to retrieve the vehicle.

The Toyota SUV was towed to the Highland Heights Police Station to be processed.

Police say there appears to be a set of tire tracks rather fresh on the pavement leading to where the vehicle went into the water.

"Its not a widely traveled road. Its more of a private drive for the condos here and so there is not alot of traffic and I can't say since these condos have been here we've ever had an accident on this road," said Lt Mark Dill, Ft. Thomas Police.

Police treating the case as open investigation.
