Not into the first 2, the last one is okay. Let's just cut to the chase here. This guy is a lying thief. He needs to go straight to Congress where he can probably even teach Barney Frank a thing or two he hasn't thought of yet.

Where the hell did all the money go? He couldn't have spent it all. Are they trying to find it to get something back to the people? Still, as the old saying goes, "you can't cheat an honest man" if it looks to good to be true, it is.

Cranky, I am very aware that the powers that be have been and are still doing what they do. In my face and behind my back and I do what I can every day to bring this matter to the public. Knowledge is power, not money. Every time I see an article of this sort I spread the seeds of true freedom. Hence the resourced based economy. I would suggest you visit the following web sites. http://www.thezeitgeistmovement.com/joomla/index.php?Itemid=50 http://www.thevenusproject.com/ http://www.givemeliberty.org/ If you are truly interested in doing something, start there.

150 years? Wouldn't it of been easier to just say life in prison? How long is 150 years in human years??? People kill innocent people and get less time then this guy got. Everyday in this town alone some POS goes to prison for 10-20 years for murder. Looks like money is more important than someones life...

No more martini's for Madoff...I agree that he won't live long, he will either be murdered or he will kill himself.

"pain and torment" he says... he is painful and tormented because he got caught, he had no problem taking money when it was benefiting him. However I do think its a bit of a stiff sentence for money, when murderers and molestors and rapists (who ruin lives in a much worse way) get off (no pun intended) much easier. HWGAS is right, money does seem more important for some reason, than lives. To comment on SPIONJAGER's comment, I think using the phrase "people in charge" is a bit too general. I know plenty of "people in charge" who arent greedy or criminals and are good people, I consider myself to be one of them. The "people in charge" comment seems to be used as a broad statement for people who are NOT in charge, looking at who signs their paychecks and who runs things. Madoff was mearly a businessman with a dirty practice, but not really "in charge" of anything other than his business. As fot the politicians "in charge" no one will ever be happy with all decisions made, some benefit one group and not the other. In which case the "other" will claim that the decision makers are corrupt or crooked (while that may be the case a lot of times) when they may not see it the way that others do. People tend to throw out the "in charge" as if there are a room full of crotchety old men thining up ways to screw people, in reality they are just doing what the rest of us are trying to do (in many ways)....get some money.

Now that's a heck of a long-time to practice his Golf swing.:-) He won't make it...someone that he's ripped off will probably have family in there - waiting on him. And he deserves it!
