The University of Cincinnati Bearcats have improved to fourth in the latest Associated Press Poll of college football teams.  It's UC's highest ranking ever. The Bearcats have been fifth the last few weeks.

When it comes to the latest BCS standings, the Bearcats moved back up to number five.

The Bearcats are preceded in the AP poll by a trio of traditional college football powers.  Florida is ranked first, Texas second, and Alabama third.

The 8-0 Bearcats, who beat Syracuse on Saturday, continue to be ranked 7th in the USA Today poll.

Coaches vote in the USA Today poll, with a media panel determining the AP rankings.

Ohio State is ranked #15 in the AP Poll and #12 by USA Today.  Pittsburgh, the team UC plays to end the regular season, is ranked #14 in both polls.

UC hosts the Connecticut Huskies this Saturday for one of the three games that will be featured on ABC. The game kicks off at 8 p.m. It will be ABC's first telecast at Nippert Stadium and the first Big East game in prime time on ABC since 2005.
