Police around the Tri-State have reported an increase in the number of bear sightings.

Officials said most of the reports have been in Adams County.

State wildlife officers believe there are two or three bears roaming the area and may have stalked out a homesite.

There were 113 bear sightings reported in Ohio last year.

Officials said peak months are during the summer and late fall.
