HAHAHAHA! People can be SOOO rude whith their cell phones. Almost every time I see someone driving badly, theres a cell phone stuck to their ear! She should have gotten a smackdown for being rude and obnoxious!

i get off my phone when im in line or need to talk to someone. its rediculous how people act in public. i dont want to hear someone cursing on a phone or in general. i will take my daughter to places and there are people not on phones being loud and profane. im glad that smacked her down.

He should of just tasered her. Then she could of faked her death, and her family could of sued for millions (kidding).....Seriously, people are so ignorant, rude and have no respect. The cop had every right to tell this moron, to shut up. Even people in bars can't act stupid or rude. The bouncers throw them out, why not this rude, no class idiot?

sowhat-the difference with smoking and cell phones is fumes in air and fumes in ear.

Is anybody still wondering why OUR JAILS ARE NOW OVERCROWDED?

sowhat the officer had every right to confront her if she was being obnoxious as did the other shoppers and store employees. Do you have kids? I'd guess probably not but if you did, would you want to follow her around the store while your 3 year old took in every foul word she spewed? Would you want to listen to her? How about your mother or grandmother? Would they appreciate her language? Deafnotmute you are exactly right. Everybody thinks everything is about them and the hell with everybody else and we wonder why things are the way they are. Duh!

sowhatgetalife--I really like your point about the fact that you, as a smoker, are considered "inconsiderate" by smoking in public; meanwhile people are babbling into cell phones at the movies, in restaurants, etc., and there are rarely rules against it. It's gotten way out of hand. That said, there is no law against being a rude and crass butt-head, sad to say.

Personallly, I don't think the officer had the right to confront her, but on the same token, she had no right to act the way she did once approached. Truthfully, there is a such thing as Common Curtousy, which is seemingly a thing of the past, sadly.

eveready-the customer is always right. But the customer should show courtesy too. That is the problem these days. Everybody thinks it is all about them. The cashier is doing their job. It can be dealing with pleasant people or it can be dealing with obnoxious people. I go out of my way to be pleasant with the cashiers. Everyone is fighting their own battles. They don't need customers with attitudes. No, I am not a cashier.

Let's keep in mind that she was NOT arrested for talkling loud. She was noticed because of her loud and obnoxious conversation but she was arrested because she did not comply with the officer's order. She was given the opportunity to continue shopping but she elected to get disorderly instead. Let's keep the facts straight her.
