AK Steel Faces Fines, Citations After Worker Hurt

Last Update: 11/14/2009 1:16 am
Ak Steel is facing more than $7,000  in fines and two citations after an on-site accident.

Authorities say a worker suffered burns after falling into hot water at the company's Middletown Works coke plant in August.

OSHA says the guardrail met height standards, but employees were working inside the rails or taking them down.

AK Steel has 15 working days to schedule a conference with OSHA.
