FORT THOMAS, Ky. -- This Saturday people from all over the Tri-State will be able to tour historical homes in Northern Kentucky, all while helping out a good cause.
The Charities Guild of Northern Kentucky will host its 2nd Annual Tour Of Homes on Oct. 24.
Several families will open up their houses for the annual fundraiser, with some homes dating back to 1890s.
This year's home tour will include seven homes for show, as well as the Fort Thomas Military Museum. There will also be food, music and a live auction at the Tower Park Community Center in Fort Thomas.
Participants will also be entered in a raffle to win a Key West vacation package.
Proceeds will go to the Northern Kentucky Children's Advocacy Center and the Charities Guild's Shoe Fund.
"They get shoes for underprivileged kids to start school," said Tonya Tully, whose house is being featured.
"The kids get like a voucher, and the money that we give will go to the voucher and then these children can go pick out their own shoes for school or whatever,” Tully said. “It's a great cause."
