Anderson Twp., Ohio - An Anderson Township woman stood before a judge Monday morning accused of having sex with her partner and not telling him her HIV status.

Chewanna Henderson is being held on $81,500 bond at the Hamilton County Justice Center in downtown Cincinnati. Court documents indicate she told her partner she was HIV-positive after having sex.

A fight ensued between the two as Henderson allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed her partner in the back of the head, according to records.

After being arrested, Henderson then tried to slip out of the Lincoln Heights jail. Police were able to catch her before she escaped.

Henderson faces two counts of felonious assault, and one count of escape and theft.

Ohio law requires those who are HIV-positive to inform their partner of their status.

Earlier this year, a case involving Andre Davis, known as the "Gangsta of Love," shared similar characteristics. During his trial, it was revealed he had sex with up to 350 women without notifying them of his HIV status.

Davis is serving a 32-year sentence.
